web2.0 enthusiast, traveler, tech junky, photographer, consultant, developer
The tagline above gives a pretty good idea of what my interests are and who I am, but if you're looking for more detail, read on... (I promise not to bore you with any of my work experience and credentials, since all of that can be found on LinkedIn)
When I'm not working, my favorite hobby is photography. I bought my first DSLR (a Nikon D40x) right after I graduated from Lehigh University in 2007. While I've always been interested in photography, this was the first time I could really experiment with different kinds of shots, lenses, and techniques. I started a photo blog as a way to show off my best work and motivate myself to keep shooting and try new things. I also love to cook. I love food and I love to eat, so cooking just seems like a natural thing to do. I'll cook just about any type of food, especially if it's something I've never tried before. I can't tell you my favorite thing to make because there are so many, but everyone that's ever had my chicken parmesan has loved it! In addition to photography and cooking, I love to ski (Crested Butte in Colorado is probably my favorite mountain) and play any sport I can (volleyballl, soccer, lacrosse, tennis....).
If you couldn't tell by doing a quick Google or Bing search on my name, I'm an active user of all kinds of social media. I love the way I can share thoughts, stories, pictures, articles I read, or anything else with all of my friends across the globe in just a couple of clicks. I interact with people I haven't seen in years. I'm kept in the loop when I'm traveling and not around to see my friends.
In addition to social media, the Internet has also allowed for better connectivity. I'm not talking about being able to read Parez Hilton's blog from your mobile phone. I'm talking about being able to control my alarm system from my iPhone; change the thermostat in my house from a laptop because I forgot to turn the A/C off when we left for vacation; or remote on to my parent's computer from anywhere to troubleshoot a problem they're having. This type of connectivity is becoming more of a reality today with the huge growth of smartphones and tablets, and I'd love to be on the frontlines as more and more people adopt it.
There's lots more to know about me, but I'm not writing a biography, so you'll just have to look me up and talk to me yourself :-)
